[DOCUMENT/WHY] REV.2026.07
An archive should
make you want to look.
Not a white cube. Not a feed. A doorway into the strange, generous worlds artists make.
01 / THE COLLECTION
Art made with code, cameras, paint, polygons, probability, and time.
The Wallace Museum holds pioneering works from artists pushing digital expression in different directions. The collection is deliberately plural: generative systems sit beside digital painting, video, 3D work, and experiments that resist a clean label.
02 / THE COLLECTOR
Collected by Chris Wallace since 2021.
Chris is a designer and artist based in McKinney, Texas. Digital art opened a new vocabulary for ideas and emotion—one that could be procedural, networked, animated, and alive. Collecting became a way to stay close to that invention.
03 / THE INVITATION
Enter anywhere. Follow what catches.
Most of the collection arrived during the digital renaissance of 2021–2022, but this is not a time capsule. It is a set of paths between artists, tools, movements, and obsessions. The museum exists to make those paths visible—and to make looking feel fun again.
